We are looking for a Service Director to join our team here at WS New York. WS New York is a restaurant and private club concept in Hudson Yards. Responsibilities:
- Managing the daily operations of the Club and Tavern while maintaining a consistent management presence during service.
- Oversee creating, teaching, and maintaining service standards of both The Tavern and The Club.
- Being able to uphold our service standards while growing the culture at WS.
- Affective at teaching product knowledge and being able to inspire a team to do more and achieve twice as much every day.
- Controlling labor via schedule control and effective management of the business.
- Leading from the front in creating memorable experiences for guests and staff alike.
- Creating a strong regular base in The Tavern and maintaining and building a healthy membership in the club
• Maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each Team Member, guest, and club member
Qualifications:
• Experience working with a door team in a fine dining and/or hotel environment
• Positive attitude, a sense of responsibility, and ownership of the position
• Appetite for creating memorable experiences for our guests and members
• The ability to stay calm and positive under pressure
• Detail oriented with writing, communication, and phone etiquette skills
• Team oriented with a strong sense of punctuality, reliability, and professionalism
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency, strong work ethic, ability to mentally prioritize and stay organized in a high volume atmosphere
• Must display the image and philosophy set forth by the owner and restaurant management
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver items up to 30 pounds
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Must be comfortable with repetitive motions (such as walking, bending and standing)
