Job Description

An Interior Designer/Drafter is sought to join the design and sales team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong sense of design, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. This position will be responsible for working with the design and sales team in executing the daily design needs of the company. This includes, but is not limited to: on-site measurements, completing as-built and proposed design drawings, and assisting the design team as directed. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of design trends and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Interior Design

  • Strong knowledge of the residential market

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong work ethic

Position General Information:

  • Responsible for leading meetings with clients, determining clients' needs, designing the space and/or structure, selecting materials, and following projects through completion from a design standpoint

  • Must be a team player, open to constructive criticism and other points of view, and have a positive attitude

  • Work from the office (this is not a work-from-home position)

  • Must be fluent in AutoCAD and 3D rendering programs; currently using Chief Architect

  • Some construction and design experience required, as this is a full-service design and build company

  • Types of projects include kitchens, bathrooms, additions, exteriors, lower levels, exterior living spaces, complete interior updates, porches, and decks

  • Full-time employee position. Do not apply if you are seeking subcontract work as an independent designer.

  • Salaried position (not commission-based)
