Automotive Service Advisor/Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, courteous & effective service to our customers.
  • Oversee the flow of vehicles in our service drive lane.
  • Greet customers enthusiastically & with a smile upon their arrival.
  • Verify the customer’s contact information and update as needed.
  • Listen to the customer & document their vehicle service request(s).
  • Review the vehicle’s service history with the customer.
  • Verify that all factory recalls have been completed & advise customers.
  • Review the factory recommended maintenance schedule with the customer.
  • Visually inspect customer’s vehicle in the service drive lane.
  • Advise the customer of any additional recommended services.
  • Document any existing vehicle damage prior to entry into the shop.
  • Review all requested & any declined vehicle services with the customer.
  • Provide customer with an expected completion time.
  • Print a service work order documenting all items discussed, including promised time, any declined services, and/or existing vehicle damage.
  • Assign work orders to the appropriate technician.
  • Monitor the technicians progress and update the customer with status.
  • Obtain customer approval to repair as needed.
  • Document all services performed on the work repair order.
  • Inspect final repairs for quality control and customer satisfaction.
  • Review all work performed with the customer and advise of final cost.
  • Complete & print a final customer service repair invoice.
  • Contact customers when their vehicle service has been completed.
  • Maintain integrity and the company’s quality standards of excellence.
  • Assist the Service Manager with other duties as needed.
