The Night Audit Lead oversees overnight Front Office operations while ensuring completion of all Night Audit responsibilities. This role serves as the overnight leadership presence for the Front Office team by providing operational support, training, accountability, and communication to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. The Night Audit Lead is responsible for completing all standard Night Audit duties and procedures in addition to the leadership and administrative responsibilities outlined below.
The pay rate for this position is $23.00 hourly. This is the pay rate for this position that the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Night Audit & Front Office Operations
  • Complete all Night Audit functions and overnight operational procedures in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
  • Perform nightly financial balancing, reporting, cashier closures, and audit procedures.
  • Monitor guest reservations, arrivals, VIPs, routing instructions, and special requests.
  • Resolve guest concerns, billing discrepancies, and operational issues during overnight hours.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and communication through pass downs, reports, and email recaps.
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and professionalism at the Front Desk and back office areas.

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Create and share nightly pre-shift communication and ensure it is properly displayed for the daytime team. Utilize the back office TV monitor for training, coaching, and role-playing opportunities.
  • Provide operational guidance and support to Night Auditors and overnight team members.
  • Promote accountability and adherence to Front Office procedures and service standards.
  • Review weekly resumes and ensure routing, VIP blocking, alerts, and group details are accurately set up and communicated. Update the incoming Groups tab in OneNote and communicate relevant group information to the team.
  • Respond to pending emails for CHAMP-Front Office Managers.
  • Review pending Sertifi forms.
  • Maintain organization of the shared inbox.
  • Respond to Medallia guest reviews.
  • Review the Credit Limit Report, correct billing and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Review in-house guest profiles missing email addresses and communicate follow-up opportunities to Front Office Managers.

Meetings & Team Engagement
  • Schedule, plan, and present information during monthly Champions meetings.

Support ongoing departmental communication, training initiatives, and operational improvements
