Job description

Position Description & Qualifications

As the Portfolio Coordinator in facilities portfolio management and continuous process improvement with Serco, you will provide records and documentation management support for the evolving needs of the Department of Defense (DoD) Washington Headquarters Service (WHS) in the acquisition and management of its diverse portfolio of facilities space and real property assets.

Daily work is conducted as an integrated team member of the Space Portfolio Division (SPD) of the WHS Facilities Services Directorate (FSD) that performs acquisition and management of a diverse portfolio of over 16 million square feet of office, warehouse, and special use space across the National Capital Region (NCR).

Work location is in the Alexandria/DC metropolitan area.

In this role, you will:

  • Compile and maintain records of office activities across the SPD portfolio, performing project duties applying knowledge of Division’s procedures and information systems, such as completing and routing reports, providing information to customers and other staff, and answering correspondence.

  • Update recurring portfolio reviews for OSD staff and coordinate their reviews with the Director.

  • Track incoming work and documents, ensure complete information and data are provided for processing documents.

  • Review, properly format, and edit material submitted to Program Managers. Assist in preparation of briefing materials.

  • Greet visitors and monitor their access.

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • An Active DoD Secret security clearance.

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant work experience.

  • OR a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Demonstrated clerical skills, such as data entry, scheduling, filing, task tracking, and proficiency in office software.

  • Demonstrated ability in detailed record-keeping, document management, time management, and communication to support office efficiency.

  • Ability to travel 10%

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • OSD, Joint Staff, or Military Service staff support experience.
