Overview:

Overview

The Mid-Level Practitioner provides comprehensive primary care services, acute care services, and extended care services in the areas of nursing and medicine for individuals, their families, and communities. This care is provided within the Mid-Level Practitioner's specialty area(s), settings, and scope of practice. The Mid-Level Practitioner may assume the role of provider, clinical expert, educator, administrator, researcher, case manager and/or consultant.

In this Inpatient role you will triage pregnant patients greater than 20 week gestation. You will complete vaginal exams, speculum exams, labor assessments, no blood draws, obtain specimen from vaginal vault for labs. Mid levels are asked to assist in an emergent C-Section need, trained to scrub to get case started until surgical assists can arrive on site (door to OR in 6 min), limited fetal ultrasound- cardiac activity, size (can be taught to do an ultrasound- experience not required).

PRN- 2 shifts per month minimum requirement

  • Masters Level Degree NP/PA
Certification/Licensure
  • Registered Nurse License (RN) - Nursing License - Compact/Multi-State License

  • Authorization to Prescribe License - Certification - Other/National

  • Association (AHA) RQI

  • Physician Assistant License (PA) - State License - Other/National

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Certification - Other/National

Experience
  • Active NP/PA
  • Experience preferred in L&D, Women's Health and Urgent Care.
  • New Grads will be considered if previous L&D RN experience or has extensive L&D clinical rotation
