What is a Remote Sentara Nurse Practitioner?

A Remote Sentara Nurse Practitioner is a licensed advanced practice nurse employed by Sentara Healthcare who provides patient care services virtually, often from a location outside of a traditional healthcare facility. They assess, diagnose, and treat patients using telehealth technology, which can include video calls, phone consultations, and online messaging. Their responsibilities may include prescribing medication, developing treatment plans, and offering patient education, all while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare team members.
