Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in C and Java.
  • Experience in imaging-related domain such as image processing, computer vision, or computational photography.
  • Experience in implementing image processing pipelines and managing concurrency for mobile features.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience applying computer vision algorithms and ML perception toward product.
  • Familiarity with computational camera/imaging/photography concepts and algorithms.
  • Understanding of the challenges in developing for mobile devices, including managing compute, power, and latency.

Responsibilities
  • Work as a member of a cross-organizational multi-disciplinary team developing full stack vision and imaging/camera solutions for XR devices.
  • Optimize across the software layers in tuning quality, latency, and power efficiency.
  • Evaluate and develop technologies and their product application to shape next generation product features, specifications, and system architecture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with UX, product, physical design, and market research in both design and engineering, to progress solutions from investigation to shipping product.
  • Work beyond organization in collaboration with Google Research, Android, and external partner teams to develop and leverage advanced technologies to deliver high quality solutions.
