The Technology Vendor Manager is responsible for managing various stages of the Vendor Lifecycle within the Technology Group and in alignment with BBH Policies and Standards. These lifecycle phases include planning, selection, contracting, monitoring, renewals and termination. In addition, they will proactively identity issues and emerging risks with these relationships and mitigate or escalate as appropriate Perform periodic reviews of vendor satisfaction with the Technology end-users to constantly reevaluate and review BBH needs in line with vendor delivery. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Technology Vendor Management and IT Procurement.

Responsibilities include:

Contract Management

  • Provide relationship management and negotiation for a portfolio of medium-spend Technology contracts an support Senior Vendor Managers as appropriate.
  • Define contractual Service Level Agreements to measure Vendor Performance.
  • Develop and Document Exit Strategies as appropriate

Communication & Partnerships

  • Key management interface with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with systems management team to determine the needs of the firm, as it pertains to vendors and vendor agreements.
  • Communicate to management and key stakeholders, the contract risks and exceptions to established standards.
  • Pivotal role in overseeing vendor relationships and ensuring operational excellence

Analysis / Metrics Design

  • Identify best practices across processes.
  • Develop and maintain vendor performance
  • Develop and maintain vendor performance management materials such as metrics, scorecards, key performance indicators (KPIs).

Risk/Compliance/Governance

  • Identifies and Tracks vendor risks as appropriate to ensure they are mitigated or accepted.
  • Ensures documented exit strategies are in place for all high risk Business Technology Vendors.

Qualifications include:

  • BA/BS Degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science or Engineering; advance degree desirable.
  • Possess a minimum of 5-7 experience in managing technology projects, functions and with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with commercial contract negotiation, strategic sourcing practices, vendor dashboards, strategic cost reduction initiatives, and vendor quality turn around.
  • Strong strategic skills for vendor negotiations.
  • Track record of successful execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives and significant change projects preferred.
  • Understanding of market competitiveness, emerging trends and ability to provide global sourcing intelligence.
  • Creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and motivate team and others; ability to deliver persuasive and credible presentations to at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and "ever changing" environment leveraging strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong with managing ambiguity and shifting priorities

Salary Range

$130,000 - $180,000 Base Salary + Annual Target Bonus
