Caregiver (ADL & IADL Support) – Tustin

Seeking a passionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Caregiver to provide high-quality, in-home care and support. This role focuses on assisting clients with both Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), along with companionship that helps our older adult loved ones maintain independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

  • Assist with personal hygiene: bathing, grooming, oral care, and dressing

  • Support toileting and provide incontinence care with discretion

  • Aid with mobility, transfers (bed to chair), and ambulation

  • Assist with feeding while ensuring proper nutrition and hydration

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)

  • Prepare meals based on dietary needs and preferences

  • Provide medication reminders (non-clinical support only)

  • Perform light housekeeping: cleaning, organizing, dishwashing

  • Manage laundry, linen changes, and basic home upkeep

  • Run errands such as grocery shopping and picking up essentials

  • Provide companionship and emotional support through engagement and activities

Day-to-Day Tasks

  • Follow individualized care plans and daily routines

  • Monitor and document changes in the client’s condition

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living space

  • Assist with appointments or accompany clients as needed

  • Communicate updates with families and care teams

Caregiver Requirements

  • Compassionate, patient, and passionate about senior care

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance

  • Prior caregiving experience is a plus (not required)

  • Physically able to assist with mobility and transfers

  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift up to 30 lbs

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including some weekends

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or GED required
