Job description

Transportation DriverTransportation Driver Reports to: Administrator

Job summary:
The Transportation Driver is responsible for providing safe, dependable, and timely transportation for residents and staff. This role supports daily operations, resident activities, and community-related travel while ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and ethical standards.

Transportation Driver Key responsibilities:
  • Communicate and coordinate resident transportation schedules with the Facility Services Administrative Assistant

  • Safely transport residents to scheduled destinations and ensure return transportation is clearly arranged to avoid confusion

  • Work collaboratively with staff to provide transportation for activity events and planned outings

  • Complete non-resident transportation trips to the bank, post office, Church Headquarters, and other assigned destinations

  • Coordinate and manage the use of Hillside Manor vehicles

  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine vehicle safety checks on Wilshire vehicles

  • Greet individuals entering the office and provide appropriate direction or assistance

  • Demonstrate respect for residents by valuing their heritage, life experiences, and understanding the aging process

  • Maintain regular, reliable, and consistent attendance as directed by the supervisor

  • Follow Wilshire Manor ethical standards and compliance guidelines in all interactions

  • Comply with all HIPAA privacy and confidentiality requirements

  • Ensure the Transportation Department remains compliant with all federal and state regulatory and licensure requirements

  • Assist with light maintenance or EVS duties as scheduling allows

Transportation Driver Additional duties:
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Transportation Driver Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals

  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions

  • Valid class E license required

  • Experience required

  • CNA license preferred

  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with Wilshire’s insurance carrier guidelines
