Job description

The driver will make the first impression upon our members and guests by extending a warm welcome, providing information about the Club and local area. The driver will provide exceptional service, anticipate member needs and manage all requests with a sense of urgency and will maintain a proactive approach to providing solutions.

The Transportation Driver will safely transport members of the Daniel Island Club and their guests to various places such as; downtown Charleston and surrounding areas, airport transfers, and golf trips.  Trips are assigned by the Transportation Supervisor with a 48-hour notice.

Salary Range - $10/hr + auto gratuities and cash tips

  1. Good knowledge of the Charleston and surrounding areas
  2. Performs all other duties as directed by immediate supervisors.
  3. Working as a team, effectively communicating with management and co-workers.
  4. Ensure that member and associates areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment.
  5. Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members.

TRANSPORTATION DRIVER

  • Safely transporting guests to local destination
  • Must keep the vehicle cleaned and in good condition for the guests. 
  • Develop familiarity with members and their families, learning and using member names
  • Provide guests with an exceptional arrival and departure experience, assisting with luggage and other packages
  • Maintain confidentiality of all members and Club information
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history.
  • Experience driving in all different weather conditions required.
  • Punctuality is essential.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Neat, well groomed appearance required at all times.
  • Previous experience as a driver for a hospitality or private organization a plus.
  • Be able to communicate clearly with members and guests.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite and energetic.
