About the Role

The Transportation Driver plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable guest experience at Shanty Creek Resorts. This position is responsible for transporting guests to and from designated resort locations in a safe, timely, and professional manner.

The Transportation Driver also assists guests with luggage, provides helpful information when appropriate, and ensures the vehicle remains clean, organized, and operational. This role requires strong customer service skills, safe driving habits, and the ability to represent the Resort in a friendly and professional manner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely transport guests to and from designated resort locations.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining flexibility based on guest and operational needs.
  • Assist guests with luggage, belongings, and entry or exit from the vehicle when appropriate.
  • Provide friendly, professional service and answer guest questions when possible.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle.
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks and report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns promptly.
  • Follow all traffic laws, resort policies, and safety procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, or other required transportation logs.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and resort staff.
  • Support a positive guest experience through safe, courteous, and reliable transportation service.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Valid chauffeur’s license, or ability to obtain one prior to operating Resort transportation vehicles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior driving experience preferred, especially in hospitality, tourism, recreation, or guest transportation.
  • Ability to safely operate assigned vehicles.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of local roads, resort areas, and nearby attractions.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or guest-facing role.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
