Overview

Must have weekday morning availability. Need to have flexible mindset to function in multiple areas of the store including customer service, print and logistics.

As a Sr. Store Associate - Part Time, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending the right products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. Through enthusiasm and expertise, Sr. Store Associates will help us create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhancing our store's visual and merchandising standards, freight, and logistics activities, and prioritizing unparalleled client satisfaction. The Sr. Store Associate will support a customer-centric environment, engagement with the local community, all while contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous.

In addition, as a Sr. Store Associate, you will be expected to understand and complete an advanced level of training in print and technology products/services, ensuring you're equipped with the next-level knowledge to assist customers effectively. You will apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions, contributing to the growth of our business.

The ideal Sr. Store Associate is passionate about sales, delivering exceptional service, and driving operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

Customer Centric Experience:

  • Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
  • Utilizes and understands the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services.
  • Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.

Store Operations Commitment:

  • Consistently maintains store and print department appearance to company guidelines and keeps a neat, clean, well-stocked environment.
  • Adheres to all standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
  • Follows the established sorting and stocking guidelines and completes freight processes.
  • Ensures freight sorting area is organized and setup in accordance with guidelines.
  • Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily.

Print and Tech Expertise:

  • Works to continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided which includes successful completion and comprehension of an advanced level of Print and Technology training, as well as any other applicable training.
  • Continued education in these areas is expected, up to and including designated certifications, if required.

Compliance Adherence and Support:

  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; and supports the company’s loss prevention efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • No previous experience required; retail sales experience preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
  • Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions
  • Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to build selling relationships with customers and coworkers
  • Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule: The salary range for this role is 15.50 to 16.50, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed. The company offers competitive salaries, a benefits package, which includes a 401(k) and more, along with plenty of opportunities to move and grow within our organization! You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, paid in accordance with the Incentive Plan terms and conditions.
