Position Summary

Join Newell Brands' Home & Kitchen team and play a key role in bringing innovative consumer products to market. As the Senior Technical Writer, you will own the development of consumer-facing documentation for a portfolio of trusted brands, partnering with Engineering, Design, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and Manufacturing from concept through product launch. Your work will directly influence the customer experience by delivering clear, accurate, and compliant documentation used by consumers around the world.

  • Develop, edit, and maintain consumer-facing technical documentation for Home & Kitchen products.

  • Manage multiple documentation projects from concept through production while meeting aggressive launch timelines.

  • Ensure documentation meets regulatory, legal, and Newell Brands standards.

  • Coordinate multilingual translations for global product launches.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, suppliers, and print vendors.

  • Identify risks, solve problems proactively, and communicate project status effectively.

  • Improve documentation processes, templates, standards, and workflows.

  • Leverage AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, to improve drafting, translation workflows, documentation quality, and overall team efficiency.

  • Serve as a technical documentation subject matter expert and help educate stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of technical writing experience, preferably supporting consumer products, small appliances, manufacturing, or engineering.

  • Experience creating instructional documentation for physical products.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools.
