Job description

Talis Group's client, a well-established Louisville law firm with a long-standing reputation for exceptional client service and a supportive, family-oriented culture, is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced attorney who enjoys advocating for clients through life's most challenging transitions while working alongside a respected Family Law Partner on sophisticated, high-asset matters.
The firm offers the stability of an established practice, a collaborative team environment, and the resources needed to build a successful career. In addition to a competitive base salary of $100,000-$120,000, the firm provides an excellent benefits package (health, dental, vision life, disability, 401K and bonus opportunities for business development and exceeding billable hour goals (1800). This also includes unlimited PTO.

Highlighted Duties:
  • Manage a full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, paternity, and related domestic relations cases.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, motion practice, and other court proceedings.
  • Build trusted client relationships by providing strategic legal guidance and consistent communication throughout the legal process.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings and motions, and develop effective case strategies.
  • Partner with an experienced Family Law Partner on complex, high-asset divorce and custody matters.

Highlighted Requirements:
  • Active Kentucky Bar license in good standing.
  • Three or more years of Family Law experience.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a busy caseload from intake through resolution.
  • Experience in a high-volume Family Law practice preferred.
  • Strong courtroom, negotiation, and client communication skills.
  • Experience handling or assisting with high-asset family law cases preferred.
  • Criminal law experience is a plus, as the practice includes a limited number of criminal matters.
