Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and results-driven Senior Systems Analyst specializing in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP). In this role, you will lead and participate in end-to-end global payroll implementations, ensuring full compliance with US and Canadian statutory regulations, local tax laws, and labor requirements.
This is a high-impact technical role requiring deep domain expertise in payroll configuration, data validation, and cross-functional testing. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, cross-functional HR teams, external managed service providers, and implementation partners to gather requirements, execute functional designs, manage payroll parallel runs, and drive seamless production go-lives. If you excel at bridging complex payroll logic with scalable system configurations, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration
• End-to-End Delivery: Lead and participate in full-lifecycle implementations of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) across North American markets (US and Canada).
• System Architecture: Configure, test, and deploy robust payroll solutions, ensuring seamless integration between SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC), time-tracking platforms, benefits administration, and taxation systems.
• Functional Design: Translate complex business rules and statutory requirements into detailed functional design documents for reports, integrations, data conversions, enhancements, and workflows.
Testing, Validation & Defect Management
• Rigorous Testing Cycles: Plan and execute Unit Testing, Product Integration Testing (PIT), payroll parallel testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and data validation activities prior to go-live.
• Parallel Runs: Lead payroll parallel test runs and reconciliation activities to verify calculation accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure absolute operational readiness.
• Defect Triage: Coordinate defect management, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis in collaboration with business stakeholders and implementation partners.
Cutover, Deployment & Optimization
• Cutover Planning: Contribute to cutover planning, execute payroll-related deployment tasks, and support production readiness assessments.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with other module leads to identify system enhancements, process automations, and workflow optimizations.
• End-User Enablement: Conduct training sessions for team members and end-users to maximize understanding and utilization of the ECP platform.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of hands-on professional experience in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) implementations and configuration.
• Regional Expertise: Proven implementation track record across multiple US and Canadian payroll cycles (experience in additional global jurisdictions is a strong plus).
• Technical Mastery:
oHands-on experience integrating ECP with third-party vendors (e.g., workforce/time management systems, benefits providers, and taxation engines).
oDemonstrated expertise supporting UAT cycles, payroll parallel testing, reconciliation, defect management (P2P), and production cutover execution.
oExperience collaborating with third-party payroll managed service providers to deliver integrated global payroll programs.
• Certifications: SAP ECP Certification strongly preferred.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills; superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities (including occasional weekend or holiday support during critical go-live windows).
