Position Summary
The Senior Product Engineer provides comprehensive engineering leadership that advances the Mobile Solutions strategic plan. This role designs, develops, maintains, and enhances both existing and new product offerings while ensuring strong production quality and full regulatory compliance. It delivers expert engineering guidance across the organization and works closely with internal teams and external partners to drive project completion with high quality, within budget, and on schedule.

What you will do as Senior Product Engineer:
  • Apply a structured engineering design process to develop new Mobile Solutions products
  • Collaborate with customers, consultants, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to define clear project requirements, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Lead subsystem design efforts across structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines
  • Evaluate designs for safety, healthcare standards compliance, regulatory requirements, and building code adherence
  • Develop technical assessments and recommendations using cost estimates, risk analysis, and rough order of magnitude evaluations
  • Define project goals, budgets, and schedules while overseeing fabrication and construction activities and managing subcontractor performance and costs
  • Produce 3D models and associated 2D mechanical and architectural drawings
  • Review manufacturer quality at key project milestones, document deficiencies, support issue resolution, and verify corrective actions
  • Partner with Product Management, Service Management, and senior leadership to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions across the Mobile Solutions fleet
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product designs and overall quality
  • Review and validate manufacturer change orders and associated costs
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the Mobile Solutions Service team
  • Address technical inquiries and prepare engineering documentation in collaboration with senior management, project managers, customers, authorities having jurisdiction, and subcontractors
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  • 10+ years' experience in product design and/or project managment, with working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building guidelines, standards, and codes
  • Experience working with and supporting manufacturing teams, translating voice of customer input into specific design requirements
  • 2+ years' project management experience, working with cross-functional teams to control scope, schedule, and budget

Preferred:

  • Previous experience specifically supporting the medical industry strongly preferred
  • Supervisory experience overseeing design teams
  • 2D drafting skills, AutoCAD strongly preferred
  • Parametric modeling and drawings (CREO Parametric and/or SolidWorks strongly preferred)
  • Previous experience with Oracle and Siebel preferred
  • Experience with ISO Quality Standards and auditing support

Pay range for this opportunity is$90,737.50-$117,425.00.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
