Job description

Job Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality test cases to cover functional and non-functional aspects of the application
Thorough System Testing of the deployed application in various environments (including on-prem and in Cloud) to ensure a high-Quality customer facing product.
Discover problems and bugs early in the Software development cycle and well before customers discover it in the field.
Document bugs with all pertinent details including steps to reproduce the problem with clarity
Generate test reports
Help with design and development of the automation platform and tests for the micro-service based distributed system
Help with definition, architecture and development of automation tests and infrastructure to ensure engineering teams deliver at high velocity
Work closely with different stakeholders (UI developers, backend developer's product owners) to develop best practices, make architectural decisions and define platform standards to design and optimize micro-service based applications
Responsible for troubleshooting, issue diagnosis and propose appropriate regression tests to prevent re-occurrence of issues.
Introduce effective quality and test methodologies to ensure improvement in overall quality for team
Mentor and lead other quality engineers in the team.
Skills:
7+ years of System Testing experience for micro-services-based web applications
Experience in testing applications deployed in Cloud (AWS) strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of RESTful API best practices
Hands-on experience with one or more AWS cloud computing services including ability and familiarity to connect to EC2 instances.
Hands-on experience with CI, CD technologies like Jenkins, Docker etc.
Familiarity with orchestration platforms like Rancher, Kubernetes etc.
Good knowledge of Agile/Scrum ceremonies and processes.
Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills and written and verbal communication skills.
