Position Title: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) opportunity located in Kirkland, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using C#, Cypress, Selenium, and JavaScript.
  • Author, execute, and analyse API and UI test scripts for complex applications.
  • Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members throughout the agile development lifecycle.
  • Perform thorough data validation and verification using advanced SQL skills.
  • Monitor test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams.
  • Contribute to performance testing efforts and assist in identifying bottlenecks.
  • Effectively manage priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Document test strategies, results, and best practices to support continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software test automation or software development roles.
  • Expertise in C#, Cypress, Selenium, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Proven experience in REST, GraphQL API testing, as well as UI testing using Cypress, Selenium, and C#.
  • Strong experience as an SDET with proficiency in data-driven testing.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and data validation techniques.
  • Ability to work onsite at least two days per week.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and modern deployment strategies.
  • Advanced certifications in software testing or cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Dynatrace, Datadog, and Dotcom-Monitor for monitoring, logging, and error-handling investigations
