PING, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Manager that will lead, organize, and continuously improve physical security operations for PING and its parent and subsidiary operations. The Senior Security Manager directs campus security, access governance, emergency preparedness, investigations, asset protection, security technology, and applicable supply chain security programs across a 57-acre manufacturing and distribution campus with multiple employee, visitor, contractor, and delivery entrances. The position leads Security Supervisors, Security Officers, the Locksmith, and the Identity and Access Control Administrator, and is accountable for maintaining a safe, secure, and appropriately controlled environment for employees, visitors, property, inventory, intellectual property, and business operations. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

• Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for Security Supervisors, Security Officers, the Locksmith, and the Identity and Access Control Administrator.
• Carry out personnel responsibilities including workforce planning, recruiting, selection, orientation, training, scheduling, coaching, performance management, recognition, corrective action, and succession development.
• Establish post orders, operating procedures, performance expectations, escalation protocols, and staffing plans for routine operations and special events.
• Deploy security resources across the campus in a cost-effective manner that provides appropriate coverage for multiple employees, visitor, contractor, shipping, receiving, and delivery entrances.
• Develop and administer the department operating and capital budgets; monitor expenditures and recommend investments based on risk, service needs, and lifecycle requirements.
• Maintain availability outside normal working hours for significant incidents, staffing escalations, emergency response, drills, and business disruptions.
• Develop, implement, review, and enforce physical security policies, standards, protocols, and procedures.
• Protect employees, visitors, facilities, inventory, prototypes, intellectual property, equipment, and other company assets from unauthorized access, theft, damage, disruption, or misuse.
• Oversee perimeter security, gate operations, patrols, guard posts, employee entrances, visitor reception, contractor access, and commercial delivery controls.
• Conduct documented security risk assessments and vulnerability reviews; prioritize corrective actions and track completion.
• Coordinate security requirements for construction, renovation, facility expansion, special events, and operational changes.
• Oversee security support for executive visits, high-value movements, confidential projects, and other special security requirements.
• Monitor incident and loss trends, evaluate control effectiveness, and recommend preventive measures.
• Supervise the Identity and Access Control Administrator and establish governance for physical credentials, access permissions, restricted areas, and visitor management.
• Ensure timely issuance, modification, suspension, and deactivation of badges and physical access privileges in coordination with Human Resources, Information. Technology, Facilities, and department leadership.
• Establish approval levels and periodic review processes for physical access to sensitive or restricted locations, including segregation-of-duties considerations where appropriate.
• Oversee audits of badge activity, access authorizations, visitor records, key inventories, and exceptions; ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
• Supervise the Locksmith and provide management oversight of master key systems, key control, lock standards, door hardware, electronic locking systems, emergency access, and locksmith service priorities.
• Ensure mechanical key and electronic credential programs are coordinated as a unified physical access control framework.
• Provide business ownership and operational oversight for CCTV, electronic access control, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, intercom, visitor management, and related physical security systems.
• Establish system standards, retention and access practices, preventive maintenance expectations, testing schedules, and escalation procedures.
• Evaluate security technologies and vendors; develop requirements, coordinate projects, and verify that installations support operational and security objectives.
• Maintain appropriate documentation for system configurations, device inventories, critical dependencies, service agreements, and business continuity needs.
• Lead site security activities supporting the company's CTPAT-secured facility and maintain readiness for applicable reviews and audits.
• Oversee physical security controls for cargo, shipping and receiving areas, commercial vehicles, trailers, seals, delivery entrances, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
• Coordinate documented risk assessments, training, records, corrective actions, and cross-functional security practices supporting applicable CTPAT requirements.
• Partner with Logistics, Shipping, Receiving, Procurement, Compliance, and other stakeholders to identify and address supply chain security risks.
• Investigations and Incident Management
• Coordinate with Human Resources and Legal on investigations involving theft, unauthorized access, vandalism, threats, workplace violence, policy violations, suspicious activity, security breaches, and loss of company assets.
• Establish standards for incident reporting, evidence preservation, video review, interviews, case documentation, confidentiality, escalation, and corrective action follow-up.
• Partner with Human Resources, Legal, Information Technology, Operations, and other functions on sensitive or cross-functional investigations.
• Maintain productive working relationships with law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, and other public safety agencies.
• Review incident and breach reports and provide timely, factual reports and recommendations to management.
• Lead or support physical security aspects of emergency response, crisis management, evacuation, shelter-in-place, severe weather, active threat, fire, hazardous material, utility disruption, and business continuity planning.
• Serve as the security lead or designated incident command participant during emergencies and significant disruptions.
• Plan and evaluate drills and exercises; document lessons learned and track corrective actions.
• Coordinate responder access, scene security, accountability support, traffic control, communications, and protection of affected areas during incidents.
• Develop, deliver, and maintain security training for department personnel and other employees, including role-specific and refresher training.
• Maintain required records, procedures, licenses, certifications, audit materials, and departmental documentation.
• Develop and report meaningful security metrics, service levels, incident trends, audit findings, and risk reduction progress.
• Prepare clear reports, presentations, business cases, and recommendations for the Director of HR and executive leadership.
• Coordinate security matters with other supervisors and promptly elevate issues requiring executive attention.

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field, plus a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible security experience, including at least five years leading supervisors or multi-shift security operations. Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, industrial, or large-campus environment strongly preferred. Experience managing electronic access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, alarms, visitor management, related security technology, CTPAT or comparable supply chain security programs, investigations, emergency response, physical security projects, vendors, budgets, and access governance preferred.
• Current Arizona driver license and satisfactory motor vehicle record consistent with company requirements.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, or ability to obtain within the period established by the company.
• Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or comparable professional certification preferred.
• FEMA Incident Command System training or comparable incident management training preferred.
• Clear and effective oral and written communication skills, including executive reporting, training, interviewing, and interaction with employees, visitors, vendors, regulators, and public safety agencies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of physical security operations, access control, investigations, emergency response, asset protection, and security risk management.
• Strong leadership, judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills, including the ability to remain calm and direct resources during rapidly changing incidents.
• Ability to lead supervisors and technical specialists, establish accountability, and build effective cross-functional relationships.
• Ability to interpret policies, technical information, legal or regulatory requirements, audit criteria, contracts, drawings, and security system documentation.
• Strong analytical, project management, budgeting, vendor management, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn and administer relevant security applications.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact, sound judgment, and appropriate discretion.
