Now, with 90% of its inventory leased to Fortune 100 customers, the company has acquired, developed and managed more than 27 data center projects nationally, while leadership has remained consistent for over two decades. 

From site selection to data center construction and operations, Stream develops wholesale colocation capacity and build-to-suit facilities for hyperscale and enterprise users in major markets across the United States. Additionally, Stream sources and develops low-risk land sites for optimum data center development and provides energy procurement services with a focus on reducing market risk and providing low-cost renewable energy options. 

The Senior Security Manager manages daily security operations for the Stream Data Centers (SDC) sites to which they are assigned plus oversight of other Security Managers, Contract Site Supervisors and/or Lead Officers. The Senior Security Manager will act as an extension of the Vice President of Corporate Security at the local level and will be the client contact for the contracted guard-force provider. The Senior Security Manager will dress in SDC approved standardized office attire as defined by the Vice President of Corporate Security. The Senior Security Manager must be efficient in all officer duties and emergency response protocols. While the Senior Security Manager must be able to perform these duties as needed, this will not be their primary function. The Senior Security Manager will be responsible for security technology management, reporting, officer training, staff development, mentorship and leadership. The Senior Security Manager will be responsible for managing all daily activities, projects and meetings with security officers assigned to the site. The Senior Security Manager must ensure the SOC is managed appropriately to maintain consistency with SDC Global Security Operation Procedures standards.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise assigned SDC Security Managers, Contract Site Supervisors, Lead Officers, and security providers to ensure contract obligations, performance standards, and security objectives are met.
  • Train, mentor, and oversee site security personnel, including managing security transitions from construction to operational environments and ensuring completion of all required training.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure adherence to, Global Security Operating Procedures (GSOP), Site-Specific Post Orders (SSPO), and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with security procedures, including proper uniforms, badges, name tags, rank insignia, and professional standards of conduct.
  • Oversee employees, tenants, contractors, guests, and security personnel to ensure compliance with established site security protocols and access control requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of Daily Activity Reports (DARs), Incident Reports (IRs), delivery processing documentation, and other required security records.
  • Respond to emergencies and security incidents, coordinate with emergency responders when necessary, and escalate issues through the Corporate Security chain of command in accordance with GSOP and SSPO requirements.
  • Monitor and oversee site video surveillance, access control, and other security systems, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate with Critical Facilities Managers (CFMs), Corporate Security leadership, operations teams, and contract security providers to support site security policies, procedures, and operational objectives.
  • Communicate staffing requirements to guard-force providers and ensure adequate security coverage for all assigned locations.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage site security budgets and expenses, including reviewing and approving security service invoices and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Participate in management meetings, follow established chain-of-command protocols, remain available 24/7 for site emergencies and escalations, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Basic Qulifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a military, law enforcement, security, or related supervisory/management environment; data center security experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively provide direction to security personnel, operations teams, contractors, tenants, guests, and emergency responders.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities with exceptional attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Proficiency with computers, security technology, hand-held radios, and other security-related equipment required to perform assigned duties.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and communicate written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to prepare accurate, thorough, and professional documentation, including incident reports, daily activity reports, and other security records.
  • Ability to meet job-related physical and sensory requirements, including corrected vision to 20/30, conversational English speaking and hearing ability, and the ability to detect environmental hazards such as smoke or gas leaks.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform patrol-related activities, including walking up to 3 miles per day, traversing uneven terrain, and responding quickly to security incidents when necessary.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • First Aid CPR certified

Preferred Qulifications:

  • 2+ years of Security Management experience
  • Experience in military, law enforcement, or operational security role preferred
  • Data Center industry experience preferred
  • Electronic Access Control and CCTV System end user experience preferred
  • Security, military or police certification courses
  • Security Awareness training
  • Management/Leadership training and/or practical application experience
  • Must be able to create and deliver presentations to Senior Management

The pay range for this role is between $90,000 - 105,000 (base). Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related reasons. Stream Data Centers offers annual bonus, benefits, flexible time off (vacation), 401k and a variety of other perks and benefits.
