Job description

What youโ€™ll be doing

The Tennessee Titans are looking for a dedicated security professional to oversee security protocols, incident responses, and staff training to keep Nissan Stadium safe during NFL games, concerts, and other large-scale events.

The Coordinator, Major Events, serves as the primary on-site security liaison for large-scale events, including NFL and NCAA football games and concerts, as well as day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with stadium protocols. This role works closely with the Senior Security Manager, Event Logistics & Operations, to plan and oversee security requirements and the implementation of security protocols for large-scale events.

This role will help manage security technologies, respond to incidents with proper documentation, provide staff training, and maintain relationships with the Major Events Team and security partners, all while upholding safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support major events security operations by collaborating with event staff and ensuring adherence to stadium protocols
  • Serve as the on-site security liaison during major events, addressing client needs and resolving issues as they arise
  • Assist the Security Special Events Coordinator as needed for smaller daily events at the stadium
  • Provide training and maintain SOPs, including emergency response procedures and post responsibilities for major events
  • Respond to and document security incidents, ensuring proper action, reporting, and communication with the Senior Security Manager and Director of Public Safety
  • Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and emergency protocols, as well as state, federal, and league requirements
  • Manage CCTV and other security technologies to support events and daily operations
  • Identify and escalate issues to the Senior Security Manager and assist with investigations when needed
  • Maintain strong relationships with contract security partners through consistent communication and support
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by security leadership

What youโ€™ll bring

Required Qualifications:ย 

  • High school diploma
  • Possess, or able to obtain, a State of Tennessee unarmed guard license

Preferred Qualifications:ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in criminal justice or a similar field
  • LEOSA designation
  • Prior experience in the oversight, planning, and execution of large-scale events as it relates to security and safety protocols
  • CPR, First Aid, Stop the Bleed, and AED certifications
  • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead, understand, and convey information clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, motivating, and collaborative work environment
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to perform under pressure, including effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Core Competencies:

  • Communication: Clearly conveys security protocols, incident details, and post responsibilities to staff, event partners, and leadership, adapting style and tone for high-pressure, time-sensitive situations. Ensures accurate documentation and timely reporting to the Senior Security Manager and Director of Public Safety.
  • Collaboration: Builds strong working relationships with contract security partners, the Major Events Team, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of security operations. Serves as the on-site liaison during major events, working across departments and partners to resolve issues and meet shared safety objectives.
  • Accountability: Takes ownership of security outcomes for major events, from planning through execution and incident follow-up. Responds to and documents incidents thoroughly, ensures compliance with safety, fire, and league requirements, and follows through on SOPs and training commitments.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment where event circumstances, crowd dynamics, and emergency situations can shift quickly. Adjusts staffing, protocols, and priorities in real time, including working non-traditional hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as events demand.
