Summary Description

The Senior Reporting Analyst, Claims Operations is responsible for supporting and leading advanced analytics related to medical claims, cost performance, and utilization trends. This role translates complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decision-making.

Essential Functions

  • Extract, compile, and analyze data from multiple systems to support decision-makingย 
  • Analyze medical claims to identify trends, risks, and cost driversย 
  • Evaluate financial performance and recommend improvement strategiesย 
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor claims performanceย 
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses of cost and utilization issuesย 
  • Communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholdersย 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across clinical, UM, and provider teamsย 
  • Support analytics projects, reporting, and presentationsย 
  • Maintain reporting tools using SQL, Excel, and Power BIย 
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impactย 


Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related fieldย 
  • 3+ years of healthcare analytics or medical economics experienceย 
  • Experience with payer or managed care dataย 
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaidย 
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI or similar toolsย 
  • Experience working with large datasetsย 
  • Knowledge of claims processing and healthcare codingย 
  • Understanding of reimbursement modelsย 
  • Strong analytical and communication skillsย 
  • Ability to manage multiple prioritiesย 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medicare Advantage experienceย
