The Impact You Will Make

As a Senior Business Analyst at Risepoint, you will serve as a key individual contributor bridging business stakeholders and technical teams to enhance our Student Success Center technology. You will translate complex business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions, driving improvements in user experience, data quality, and operational efficiency. Partnering closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams, you will analyze current processes, identify opportunities, and support the delivery of high-impact system enhancements. Your work will directly enable teams to better support university partners and student outcomes.

How You Will Bring Our Mission to Life

What You Will Do

  • Gather and document requirements from business stakeholders and translate business needs into Salesforce solutions, configurations, and system design.
  • Assess existing solutions and user behaviors to identify areas for improvement, including Salesforce user experience, automation, reporting, and data integrity.
  • Conduct gap analyses to determine areas for business opportunities, with a focus on leveraging Salesforce standard functionality vs. custom solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories within an agile framework and work with development resources to provide clarity and address concerns.
  • Track reported system issues, develop recommendations for resolving issues, and drive timely resolution to ensure processes run smoothly.
  • Document as-is and to-be process maps based on interviews with business stakeholders.
  • Work with the quality assurance team to ensure that test cases are identified, changes are properly tested, and business requirements are met.
  • Identify opportunities for improved data quality and translate business needs into reporting requirements.
  • Successfully multi-task across several concurrent priorities.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organization, influencing outcomes and ensuring solutions align with business priorities.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively, contributing to cross-functional initiatives that support Risepoint's mission to expand access to affordable, workforce-relevant education.

What Success Looks Like

  • Business needs are clearly translated into effective Salesforce solutions that improve user experience, streamline processes, and support student success outcomes.
  • Projects and enhancements are delivered on time and meet business requirements, with strong collaboration across stakeholders, development, and QA teams.
  • Data quality, reporting, and system performance are continuously improved, enabling better decision making and more efficient support for university partners and students.

How Impact Will be Measured

  • Delivery of High-Impact Salesforce Enhancements: Successfully gather and translate business requirements into prioritized user stories, contributing to the on-time delivery of key improvements within the Student Success Center product.
  • Process & Experience Improvements: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance user experience, and increase adoption of Salesforce standard functionality across stakeholder groups.
  • Data Quality & Decision Support: Strengthen data integrity and reporting capabilities, enabling stakeholders to access reliable insights that improve decision-making and better support university partners and student outcomes.

What You'll Bring to the Team

Experience That Matters Most

  • Salesforce & Business Analysis Expertise: 5+ years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, or technical support, including hands-on experience translating business needs into Salesforce solutions; Salesforce Administrator certification preferred.
  • Requirements & Delivery in Agile Environments: Proven ability to gather, document, and translate requirements into user stories, with experience supporting Salesforce enhancements in Agile frameworks and partnering closely with development and QA teams.
  • Analytical, Communication & Stakeholder Management Skills: Strong problem-solving, process analysis, and documentation skills, with the ability to build relationships, communicate complex concepts clearly, and influence stakeholders across cross-functional teams; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Experience That's Great to Have

  • Experience working in higher education, edtech, or student success environments, with an understanding of the systems and processes that support learners and university partners.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification or experience supporting Salesforce configuration, reporting, or data management beyond core business analysis responsibilities.
  • Experience leading or supporting business transformation initiatives, including evolving processes, driving user adoption, and leveraging new technologies (including AI-enabled tools) to improve efficiency and scale impact.
  • Business Analysis Expertise: 1-2 years specifically performing in a Senior Business Analyst role preferred.
