Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plans, tracks, analyzes, and reports on assigned contracts.
  • Coordinates financial inputs from project control team, control account managers and program management leadership.
  • Supports monthly financial reporting, variance against plan reporting to management and corporate accounting.
  • Consolidates budgets, expenditures, forecast and headcount information for program management leadership reviews.
  • Establishes and maintains cost baselines, develops Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and performs Estimates at Completion as required on assigned projects.
  • Implements earned value procedures and coordinates with program control staff, control account managers and program management leadership to ensure procedures are uniformly applied.
  • Develops and implements reporting procedures to evaluate project status, valuation of work in progress, and tracking of contract deliverables.
  • Reviews financial information and provides detailed analysis to program management leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
  • 4-5 days/week on site.

Required Qualifications
  • Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline, along with 1-3 years of related experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, and/or macros), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • MS Project Experience is desired.
  • EVMS For Project, Business Intelligence (BI), SharePoint business tools, and Unanet experience is a plus.
  • Must be customer serviced focused and possess: (1) the ability to develop and communicate new concepts and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; (2) ability to organize, schedule, budget and coordinate work phases; (3) ability to determine the appropriate approach at the project level and provide innovative solutions to a range of complex problems; (4) organization skills to maintain flow of work within the unit.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: both verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial topics to technical personnel.
  • Must be comfortable presenting to program management leadership.
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required.

Clearance Requirements
Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL). In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment.
