Job description

Job Overview:

Primoris Heavy Civil business unit is searching for a Project Controls Analyst for our Belton, TX Division Office. The Project Controls Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the assigned project(s) deliverables are being executed within budget and on schedule, including, timely and accurate input of data, thorough and accurate review/analysis of defined cost and schedule elements, and timely and accurate document reporting.

JOB DUTIES

  • Break down project estimate & allocate budgets to a company standard code of accounts
  • Assist in development, progressing and monitoring of the project(s) schedule for the planning, procurement, construction and closeout phases
  • Coordinate, calculate, develop, input or update project budget information, changes, expenditure information, commitments and forecasts into the cost reporting system(s).
  • Update, monitor and Consult project(s) costs and progress, including coding and/or reviewing the coding of timesheets and invoices for accuracy, as well as, ensuring adequate weekly tracking of quantities and production
  • Analyze cost and productivity reports, present findings, and communicate recommendations to the project team
  • Assist in project setup, coding, take-offs and establish project baseline
  • Develop, implement, and maintain external and internal cost reports, forecasts and summary level progress
  • Provide cost, schedule and key performance indicator input to the weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Conduct project forecast meetings
  • Printing and distribution of technical and administrative reports
  • Assembly of monthly report packages

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Management or Finance/Accounting preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Preferred 2 years' experience in Cost Control or similar position, preferably in construction.
  • 0-2 years' experience in the Heavy Civil construction industry preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarization with project controls procedures
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, etc.
  • Primavera P6 experience a plus
  • Experience and or exposure in Vista/Viewpoint, Ecosys, and web-based software applications
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
