Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial health and success of our projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where you will be instrumental in ensuring the financial viability and profitability of our projects. You will have the opportunity to work with a highly motivated and collaborative team that values innovation, problem-solving, and the delivery of superior financial results.

Responsibilities
  1. Overseeing and managing the entire financial cycle of projects from budgeting and forecasting to final account reconciliation.
  2. Utilizing your expertise with Viewpoint, Job Costing, Sage Intacct, WIP, and AIA Billings to optimize financial processes and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  3. Applying the percentage of completion method to recognize revenues and costs.
  4. Collaborating with project managers to develop project budgets, monitor project costs, and provide financial insights that will drive project success.
  5. Preparing and presenting financial reports and analyses to senior management, including project profitability, cash flow, and variance analyses.
  6. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  7. Identifying and implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
  8. Providing financial guidance and support to project teams.
Qualifications
  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting or a related role in the Accounting and Finance industry.
  3. Proven expertise with Viewpoint, Job Costing, Sage Intacct, WIP, and AIA Billings.
  4. Solid understanding of the percentage of completion method and its application in project accounting.
  5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
