We currently have an opportunity for a senior-level Program Manager/Senior Hydrogeologistto join our growing Engineering, Construction and Remediation Practice in Ann Arbor or Grand Rapids, MI. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, team-oriented individual looking for career growth and have 15-25 years of remediation and environmental problem solving-related experience. Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate excellence and efficiency in writing, communication, data analysis, professional judgment, and knowledge of scientific principles.
  • Identify and solve problems independently.
  • Understand our client's objectives and apply those objectives to developing practical, solution-driven remedial strategies.
  • Interface with clients and work with account leads in recognizing and securing new business leads.
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility and work ethic.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff.
  • Demonstrate strong quality assurance/quality control skills to perform technical, style and consistency reviews.
  • Manage time effectively and balance multiple fast-paced projects.
  • Possess subject area expertise.
  • Understand standards, regulations, and guidance that apply to environmental due diligence.
  • Prioritize safety and have working knowledge of industry health and safety practices.
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively across service lines.

Qualifications
Requirements and Necessary Skills: In addition to experience and skills in the areas listed above, the successful candidate shall possess the following attributes:
  • B.S. or B.A. in hydrogeology or engineering. M.S. or M.A. degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of environmental consulting and/or professional hydrogeologist or engineering experience with a focus in contaminant investigation and remediation.
  • Able to develop scientific, technical, management or administrative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively develop and manage technical teams.
  • Ability to recognize and secure new business opportunities.
  • Technical proficiency in navigating the MI Part 201 and/or RCRA Corrective Action programs from site characterization and risk evaluation to no further action.
  • Experience with in situ and ex situ methods of soil and groundwater remediation targeting a variety of constituents.
  • Proficiency in hydrogeological principles and site characterization as it relates to conceptual site model development, contaminant transport, and remediation.
  • Understanding of the RCRA solid waste and Coal Combustion Residuals rules and monitoring requirements is a plus.
  • Vapor intrusion, soil gas, and indoor air investigation experience preferred.
  • Exposure to environmental consulting work in other Midwest states preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with 40-hr HAZWOPER certification and an up-to-date 8-hr annual refresher course required. 10-hr Construction certification is a plus.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
