Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer


Near Meadville, PA

$90,000 - $120,000 + Benefits

Monday - Friday | Days

We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join an established original equipment manufacturer near Meadville, PA.


This is an excellent opportunity to take technical ownership of custom-engineered industrial machinery projects from concept and design through manufacturing, testing and commissioning.


Industrial machinery, capital equipment or engineered-to-order equipment experience is required.


What You'll Do

  • Lead mechanical design of custom industrial machinery and equipment
  • Translate customer specifications into practical engineering solutions
  • Develop equipment concepts, layouts, 3D models and manufacturing drawings
  • Create assemblies, fabrication drawings and BOMs using SolidWorks
  • Design structural frames, vessels, piping and mechanical systems
  • Complete engineering calculations covering loads, stresses, flow and system performance
  • Select materials, pumps, valves, actuators and mechanical components
  • Work with Electrical and Controls Engineering on equipment integration
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly and testing
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment performance issues
  • Support FAT, installation, startup and commissioning
  • Mentor engineers and support engineering design improvements


What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years' mechanical design or project engineering experience preferred
  • Strong experience designing industrial machinery, capital equipment or engineered-to-order systems
  • Advanced SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD experience
  • Experience creating manufacturing drawings, assemblies and BOMs
  • Strong knowledge of machining, welding, fabricated assemblies and mechanical design
  • Experience supporting equipment from design through manufacturing and installation
  • FEA, CFD, structural analysis, piping or thermal systems experience is advantageous
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred
  • Ability to travel overnight several times per year
