The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role within the R&D function, responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving mechanical systems, components, and products from concept through production. Client Details Our Client is a global powerhouse in integrated technology solutions, revolutionizing how companies design, develop, and manufacture products made from textiles by automating, accelerating, and seamlessly streamlining every step of the process. Description Design and develop mechanical components and systems for both new and existing products Lead mechanical design efforts from concept development through prototyping, validation, and production release Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation Perform engineering analyses, including tolerance analysis, thermal and structural evaluation, FMEA, and DFA/DFM Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and recommend design improvements Partner with manufacturing to ensure designs are scalable, manufacturable, and cost-effective Support prototype builds, validation testing, and new product launches Participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with suppliers and external partners for component development Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and internal procedures Profile Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Minimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably within an R&D environment Strong proficiency in CAD tools (experience with NX and Windchill/Creo is a plus) Experience with full product development lifecycle and prototype testing Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Job Offer Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 Comprehensive health and insurance benefits Paid Vacation time 401k with company match available MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
