To thrive as an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer, you need a solid grasp of engineering fundamentals, problem-solving abilities, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Familiarity with CAD software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD), engineering simulation tools, and basic knowledge of manufacturing processes are typically required. Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills help you collaborate effectively and manage project deadlines. These competencies are crucial for delivering quality engineering solutions, adapting to project requirements, and contributing to successful team outcomes.

What types of projects and responsibilities can I expect as an entry-level mechanical engineer?

As an entry-level mechanical engineer, you’ll typically work on a variety of tasks such as drafting and updating technical drawings, assisting with prototype development, and conducting basic analyses under the guidance of senior engineers. Job description

Description:

Kinsley Group is ramping up for our SalesPath Rotational Development Program – Summer 2026, a structured 6-month program designed to build the next generation of commercial leaders in energy solutions.

This is not a traditional entry-level sales role. Our Associate Sales Engineers complete an immersive, hands-on development experience designed specifically for outside sales — built for ambitious, technically minded professionals who want to build a long-term career in territory-based field sales.

Because this is a field-based career path, candidates must be willing to relocate within Kinsley’s geographic territory as business needs and growth opportunities arise.

What You'll Do:

  • Complete structured rotations across core business units, gaining full lifecycle exposure from opportunity identification through execution and closeout
  • Support live projects and customer meetings in a true outside sales environment, engaging contractors, engineers, and end users
  • Develop technical knowledge of generators, switchgear, transfer switches, load banks, fuel systems, CHP, battery storage, and integrated energy solutions
  • Build discipline in quoting, CRM management, forecasting, and territory planning
  • Learn consultative selling strategies and account development best practices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and service teams
  • Gain exposure to capital projects, service agreements, and temporary power solutions through hands-on field immersion

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
  • Strong technical aptitude and interest in industrial power systems
  • Competitive, driven, and motivated to build a long-term sales career
  • Comfortable engaging with contractors, engineers, and business leaders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel between branches and customer sites throughout the Northeast
  • Growth mindset and coachability

Successful completion of SalesPath prepares you for placement into a full-time Industrial Sales Engineer or related sales role. At Kinsley, we don’t just hire salespeople — we develop energy solutions leaders.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
