Job description

Avanciers is seeking for a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development. The role involves designing, analyzing, and implementing engineering solutions from concept through manufacturing, ensuring product performance, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements are met.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Bloomfield CT
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using PTC Creo or similar CAD tools.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, tolerance analysis, and technical reports.
  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECN/ICN) and production implementation.
  • Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis, risk assessments, and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering teams, and customers to deliver solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • 5–8 years of mechanical design engineering experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing creation.
  • Hands-on experience with PTC Creo and Windchill PLM (preferred).
  • Experience designing sheet metal components, enclosures, or busbar systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and product development lifecycle.
