We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform engineering evaluations, analyses, field inspections, design drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Lead mechanical engineering analyses for existing and new building mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, applying current codes, standards, and technologies to develop safe, efficient, and optimized designs.
  • Manage the mechanical scope of projects from initial design through construction, ensuring quality, schedule, and client expectations are met.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineering staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support in their professional development.


Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of New York State Mechanical, Energy, and Plumbing Codes, as well as NFPA standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.


Experience, Education, and Certification 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 10+ years of post-college engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in chilled and hot water systems, building HVAC systems, controls, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems.
  • Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for schools, healthcare facilities, and municipal facilities is preferred.


Work Environment

  • Professional office environment with opportunities for collaboration across disciplines.
  • Travel to project sites throughout New York State may be required approximately 10% of the time.
