Job Title: Senior MuleSoft Developer Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance Location: Remote Position Overview Semper Valens Solutions seeking a skilled and experienced Senior MuleSoft Developer to join our integration team on the OMEGA contract. As a Senior MuleSoft Developer, you will take a leading role in designing, developing, and implementing complex MuleSoft integration solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, solution architects, and other technical staff, to ensure seamless integration between systems and services, including enterprise content management systems such as Box. This role provides an opportunity to showcase your technical leadership and deep understanding of MuleSoft technologies while working on high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities Lead MuleSoft Development * Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient MuleSoft integration solutions using Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform. API Design & Development * Create and implement APIs, including RESTful services, SOAP web services, and event-driven architectures. * Ensure API scalability, performance, and security. Box Integration * Design and implement integrations between MuleSoft and Box Content Cloud, enabling secure document exchange, metadata synchronization, and workflow automation. * Leverage Box APIs (Content, Metadata, Collaboration, Events, and Webhooks) to integrate Box with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Snowflake, and other internal applications. * Implement content governance, access control, and audit logging as part of Box integrations. Solution Architecture * Collaborate with solution architects to design enterprise-grade integration solutions. * Lead the development of complex integration flows and services. Code Quality & Standards * Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, security, and integration patterns. * Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards. Integration Patterns & Techniques * Apply integration patterns such as publish-subscribe, request-reply, and batch processing to meet business and technical requirements. Troubleshooting & Optimization * Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize MuleSoft and Box integration solutions to improve performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaboration & Mentorship * Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and career development. Stakeholder Communication * Work closely with business analysts and project managers to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate them into technical solutions. Testing & Deployment * Ensure thorough testing of integration flows, APIs, and services. * Manage deployments and oversee the transition of solutions from development to production. Continuous Improvement * Stay updated on MuleSoft and Box features, capabilities, and industry trends. * Implement improvements to development processes and integration practices. Documentation & Reporting * Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all integration solutions and processes, including Box integration design and configurations. Required Qualifications Education * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience * MuleSoft Certified Developer (Mule 4) or MuleSoft Certified Architect. * 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years focused on MuleSoft technologies (Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Platform). * Proven track record of delivering complex integration solutions using MuleSoft. * Hands-on experience integrating MuleSoft with Box using Box APIs, SDKs, and Webhooks. * Experience building secure file exchange and content management integrations with Box, including authentication using OAuth 2.0, access token handling, and enterprise-level permission models. * Experience deploying and supporting MuleSoft applications in AWS GovCloud, including familiarity with GovCloud-specific networking, security, and compliance considerations. * Strong hands-on experience with API development and management, including API-led connectivity. * Expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, Mule Runtime Engine (Mule ESB), and Anypoint Platform. * Familiarity with integration patterns such as batch processing, event-driven architecture, and message queues. Technical Skills * Strong proficiency in MuleSoft technologies (Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Platform). * Proficiency in Java and related frameworks for writing custom components and handling complex logic. * Experience with APIs (REST, SOAP, WebSockets), message brokers, and middleware. * Deep understanding of security best practices for API integration (OAuth, JWT, etc.). * Familiarity with Box SDKs (Java SDK preferred), Box Webhooks, and Box Developer Console configuration. * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integrating MuleSoft with cloud services; hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud strongly preferred. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven, etc.). * Solid understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data integration techniques.
