Position Overview
The Senior Integrations Engineer is part of the Enterprise Applications IT team that supports a broad portfolio of enterprise-wide applications and integrations. The Senior Integrations Engineer will be an expert in Boomi integration development and architecture and will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing seamless integrations between our software solutions and various third-party systems. This role requires strong technical skills, a deep understanding of integration patterns, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role will ensure integration designs are stable, reliable, and scalable from an Information Technology systems perspective. The role is responsible for maintaining the health of all integration processes, and Boomi infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability while also monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues promptly, contributing to a seamless user experience and the overall success of our technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Design integration solutions that align with business needs, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability
  • Daily operational system support and issue management
  • Participating in projects throughout all phases of the SDLC
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex integration issues and implement solutions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing Boomi jobs in PROD environment
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to other team members
  • Coordination with offshore
  • Design and architect integration solutions that enable data and functionality exchange between our cloud and on-premise applications, including APIs, databases, and other software platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business analysts, solution architects and stakeholders, to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver high-quality integration solutions
  • Lead the end-to-end development of integration solutions using Boomi, support SDLC during the design process, gathering and documenting business requirements, technical requirements, data mapping, plan and execute regression, integration testing, cutover, go-live and post go-live activities
  • Identify potential challenges or bottlenecks in integration processes and provide innovative solutions to address them
  • Independently manage small-medium application enhancement projects through SDLC
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for integration solutions, including integration architecture diagrams, process flows, design specifications, and integration workflows
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in integration technologies and evaluate their potential impact on existing and future integration projects
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance the team's capabilities
  • Monitor and maintain the health of production systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Respond to incidents and alerts in a timely manner, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and impact on users
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve integration processes, automate tasks, and enhance overall efficiency. Strive to optimize and streamline integration workflows

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5+ years) working as an Integration Engineer or similar role, with a track record of successful integration projects
  • Proficiency in working with integration tools and frameworks such as Boomi, Matillion, MuleSoft, or similar.
  • Boomi Developer or Architect Certification is highly preferred
  • Experience with Boomi connectors like sFTP, HTTP Client, Command Shape, DB V1, DB V2, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of API design and development, including RESTful and SOAP protocols
  • Experience with Event streaming
  • Familiarity with different data formats, such as JSON, XML, and CSV, and experience with data transformation techniques
  • Solid knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, security protocols, and data privacy considerations in integration projects
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar, and experience with scripting languages for automation
  • Proficiency in working with different databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional, on and off-shore teams. Able to effectively present complex solutions to technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization, across multiple cultures/geographies
  • Project management experience and the ability to lead and deliver integration projects on time and within scope
  • Exposure to various industries or domains (Retail, Omni Channel, E-Commerce) is beneficial
  • Experience working with Oracle Retail applications (e.g RMS/MFCS, ReSA/SACS, RDF)
  • Experience in EDI transactions (850, 856, 860, 870)
