With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Sr Instrument Technician to join our team in Camarillo, CA! This is a full-time, non-exempt role.



Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and functional verification of luminometers and related instrumentation.
  • Analyze instrument failures using electrical, mechanical, and software diagnostic techniques.
  • Repair and replace defective components including circuit boards, sensors, assemblies, and mechanical subassemblies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring failures and escalate systemic issues as needed.
  • Execute firmware updates, software configurations, and instrument calibrations where applicable.
  • Verify instrument performance against established specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform quality checks and final verification inspections on repairs completed by repair technicians.
  • Identify repair trends, workmanship issues, and process gaps, providing corrective action recommendations.
  • Support nonconformance investigations, CAPA activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain repair work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and best practices documentation.
  • Assist with spare parts management, inventory accuracy, and repair material consumption tracking.
  • Support implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and repair quality.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Biomedical Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronic instrument troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience supporting diagnostic, laboratory, medical, or analytical instrumentation preferred.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing or service environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required.


Salary Range (applicable to California):

$25.00 – 27.00/hourly DOE


Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of electronic diagnostics, schematics, and instrumentation systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and repair documentation.
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or repair tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, documentation control, and repair verification processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
