Job description

Title: Precision Assembler(Apprentice Instrument Technician)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Under the oversight of a Surgical Instrument Maker, perform finishing manufacture of hand-held surgical instruments.
  • Perform filing, bending, brazing, polishing, and other manual manufacturing.
  • Some work requires the use of a microscope.
  • Perform Machine work including belting, grinding, and drilling. Use measurement instruments including micrometers and calipers.
  • High school diploma; must have a high degree of attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, good retention of information, ability to repeat shapes and superior manual dexterity.
