The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join our team in Austin, TX. Are you a seasoned product marketing professional ready to drive high-impact GTM strategy while staying close to the work? Planview is a fast-growing global SaaS company building the future of connected work for some of the largest companies in the world. As Sr. Product Marketing Manager you'll own key go-to-market initiatives and serve as a senior voice across the product marketing function. You'll balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, driving market positioning and GTM strategies that directly impact pipeline, bookings, and customer retention across our portfolio.
At Planview, AI fluency is a core expectation—not a future nice-to-have. You'll bring working command of AI tools like Claude (Anthropic) and Glean into your daily workflow, and you'll help shape how AI is used across the product marketing function, contributing to best practices that raise the bar for the whole team.

What You'll Do
  • Drive product marketing excellence – Serve as a senior practitioner and standards-setter for the product marketing function, establishing best practices, contributing to team playbooks, and acting as a thought partner to peers and cross-functional stakeholders. Model AI-forward ways of working and help build shared frameworks for how the function uses AI tools effectively and responsibly.
  • Own strategic GTM initiatives – Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for major product launches and cross-solution initiatives, working autonomously to drive decisions that impact opportunity pipeline and bookings across your portfolio.
  • Drive market and competitive intelligence – Establish your team as experts on target markets, buyers, and competitive landscape. Synthesize market trends and buyer insights to inform product strategy in partnership with product management, and deliver actionable intelligence to sales, marketing, and customer success. Use tools like Glean, Perplexity, and Claude to accelerate research, synthesize competitive signals faster, and deliver sharper intelligence to stakeholders.
  • Craft differentiated messaging and positioning – Lead the development of compelling, differentiated messaging frameworks and positioning strategies that resonate with target buyers. Balance strategic narrative development with hands-on content creation for high-impact assets. Leverage AI tools— including Claude and tools like Jasper or Copy.ai—to accelerate first drafts and explore messaging variations, while applying your editorial judgment to ensure every asset meets Planview’s quality and brand standards.
  • Build influential cross-functional relationships – Partner with senior stakeholders across product, sales, marketing, and customer success to align on priorities, solve complex GTM challenges, and ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Enable revenue teams at scale – Develop comprehensive enablement strategies and high-impact assets that drive win rates, sales velocity, and customer adoption. Train and support sales and customer success teams on messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation. Build AI-powered templates and reusable content workflows that extend the team’s reach and maintain consistency at scale.
  • Represent Planview externally – Build relationships with industry analysts, participate in customer conferences and industry events, and develop thought leadership content that elevates Planview's market position.
  • Drive content strategy and execution – Guide content development that converts leads and influences buyers, working closely with content strategists and demand generation to assess performance and optimize for MQL and SQL goals. Use AI-assisted ideation and drafting tools to accelerate content production across formats, iterating quickly based on performance data.
  • Champion AI-powered marketing workflows – Build and share prompt libraries, content
templates, and AI-powered workflows that accelerate output quality and speed across the
product marketing function. Stay current on emerging tools—from Gamma for AI-generated
presentations to Lavender for sales communications—and actively contribute to best practices across the team. Evaluate AI output critically and own the outcomes of AI-assisted work.
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder launches – Lead cross-functional launch teams through planning and execution of product releases, ensuring alignment across product, marketing, sales, and customer success while holding teams accountable for delivery.
  • Balance strategic and tactical work – Context-switch effectively between coaching your team, developing strategic frameworks, and executing hands-on product marketing work, adapting quickly to changing priorities while maintaining momentum across multiple initiatives.
  • Leverage domain expertise in Strategic Portfolio Management and Project Portfolio Management – Apply deep understanding of SPM/PPM market dynamics, buyer personas, and industry trends to inform product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies. Translate complex portfolio management concepts into compelling value propositions that resonate with IT leaders, PMO directors, and executive buyers.
  • Cultivate strategic analyst relationships – Maintain ongoing relationships with key industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester, IDC) and leverage insights to strengthen market positioning. Guide your team in preparing analyst-facing materials and contribute to analyst report positioning that enhances Planview's market leadership.

What You'll Bring
