What is a senior industrial designer?

Senior Industrial Designers are experienced professionals who lead the design and development of products, focusing on their functionality, aesthetics, and user experience. They collaborate with engineers, marketers, and manufacturers to bring innovative concepts to life, ensuring products are both visually appealing and practical. Senior Industrial Designers typically oversee project teams, mentor junior designers, and manage multiple phases of the design process, from ideation to final production. Their expertise helps companies create products that stand out in the market and meet user needs effectively.

How does a senior industrial designer typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during the product development process?

As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will work closely with engineers, product managers, marketing teams, and sometimes even end-users throughout the product development cycle. Your role often involves leading design brainstorming sessions, translating user needs into innovative concepts, and ensuring that designs are both aesthetically appealing and manufacturable. Effective communication and the ability to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders are essential, as you'll frequently present your ideas and iterate based on technical constraints or business goals. This collaborative environment helps ensure that the final product meets user expectations and aligns with company objectives.

•    CAD & Visualization: Proficiency in SolidWorks, Keyshot, and Adobe Photoshop.
•    Bonus Skills: Hands-on experience with Vizcom is a plus.
•    Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing, molding processes, and draft angles.
•    IoT Expertise: Proven track record of designing hardware for connected (IoT) solutions.
•    Mindset: Innovative problem solver who thrives as an individual contributor within a team.

Why Join Us?
We build seamless, high-security retail solutions in a collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to drive high-impact design strategy and see your technical concepts come to life in market-leading products.
