What does a freelance industrial designer do?

A freelance industrial designer creates and develops concepts for manufactured products, such as appliances, vehicles, electronics, and furniture, working independently rather than for a single employer. They combine art, business, and engineering to make products that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Freelance industrial designers typically work with clients on a project basis, providing services like sketching, 3D modeling, prototyping, and product strategy. They may also collaborate with engineers and manufacturers to ensure their designs can be produced efficiently.
