The Market Director of Procurement Operations is responsible for ensuring procurement best practices and continuous delivery of an efficiency program based on system-wide and local initiatives across all hospitals in the market. Drive savings and improve the market's financial performance through process improvements, supply chain and purchased services recommendations, inventory control, standardization of practices, and the implementation of existing GPO and Tenet contracts to optimize local performance. The role reports directly to the Market / Group Financial Officer and functionally to the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations.

Desert Care Network serves the healthcare needs of the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin regions in Southern California with three hospitals Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio and Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree. The hospital network provides advanced care with services such as comprehensive stroke care, a cancer center, a Level 1 Trauma Center and the only Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the Coachella Valley. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM: 5-7 years healthcare materials management experience with at least 3 years managerial experience.
PREFERRED: 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a Supply Chain Setting. 5 years as director.
EDUCATION
REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare Management, Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Accounting.
PREFERRED: MBA/ MHA from an accredited college or university.
