Job description

Position Highlights

The HIM Deficiency Analyst Senior is responsible for analyzing "Outpatient, Inpatient, and Recurring" accounts for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy.
This position performs all process related to review, research, and assignment of deficiencies in the patient medical record. It researches and reports demographic errors within the documentation. The HIM Deficiency Analyst Senior serves as a subject matter expert on the team and assist less experience team members on following operational policies. Trains and onboards new team members and participates in special projects assigned by the Mid Revenue Cycle leadership

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Cerner software experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of Inpatient, Outpatient and Recurring patient accounts
  • Issue resolution
  • Research refused documents.

  • Other duties

Credentials and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Four (4) years of experience in Health Information Management computerized medical record deficiency
    system

Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required

  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Outlook,
  • Ability to organize multiple priorities and make independent decisions.
