Epic Healthy Planet Analyst
Position Title
Epic Healthy Planet Analyst
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Epic Healthy Planet Analyst to support a growing pipeline of population health initiatives and strategic healthcare transformation projects. This role will be responsible for the design, build, optimization, implementation, and support of Epic Healthy Planet solutions that improve patient outcomes, care gap management, quality performance, and population health programs across the organization.
The ideal candidate will partner with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to develop population health workflows, analytics, registries, and care management solutions that support value-based care objectives and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, implement, and optimize Epic Healthy Planet applications and workflows.
  • Support a portfolio of population health projects focused on quality measures, risk stratification, care gap management, chronic disease management, and preventive care initiatives.
  • Build and maintain:
    • Registries
    • Care gap workflows
    • Quality measure configurations
    • Reporting workbench reports
    • Dashboards and scorecards
    • Outreach and patient engagement tools
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, quality, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into system solutions.
  • Analyze workflows and recommend process improvements to maximize adoption and operational efficiency.
  • Support testing activities including unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of Epic Healthy Planet functionality.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system design, build specifications, workflows, and support procedures.
  • Participate in project planning, implementation, and go-live support activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Epic Healthy Planet certification (current or obtained within organizational requirements).
  • 3+ years of Epic analyst experience.
  • Experience supporting population health and care management initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Value-based care programs
    • Quality reporting
    • Population health management
    • Clinical workflows
  • Experience with Epic reporting tools and healthcare data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Healthy Planet certification and recent implementation experience.
  • Experience with:
    • Care Everywhere
    • Reporting Workbench
    • Radar Dashboards
    • SlicerDicer
    • Cogito
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, CMS quality measures, and risk-adjustment programs.
  • Experience in large healthcare systems or integrated delivery networks.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Charleston, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
