e4health is seeking an experienced Epic Healthy Planet / Value-Based Analytics Consultant to support healthcare organizations in optimizing population health, value-based care, quality performance, and clinical outcomes through the effective use of Epic Healthy Planet and related analytics capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Epic Healthy Planet, population health management, value-based care programs, quality measures, risk stratification, care management, and healthcare analytics. This individual will work closely with clinical, operational, quality, finance, and IT stakeholders to translate value-based care requirements into actionable analytics, workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions.



We are seeking an experienced Epic Professional Billing (PB) Analyst to support an immediate, short-term engagement for a large multi-specialty medical group practice in Texas.

The consultant will be responsible for the design, configuration, testing, validation, and implementation of patient estimate functionality within Epic, with a primary focus on establishing and optimizing PB patient estimates across multiple specialties, providers, locations, services, and payer scenarios.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Epic Resolute Professional Billing, patient estimates, ambulatory revenue cycle workflows, and Epic build. The consultant must be able to work independently, quickly understand the client's existing configuration and workflows, and translate operational requirements into effective Epic solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform Epic Resolute PB patient estimate build and configuration.
  • Assess the current Epic PB and patient estimate configuration and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Gather and document requirements from revenue cycle, patient access, financial counseling, billing, and operational stakeholders.
  • Configure patient estimate functionality to support a multi-specialty ambulatory medical group.
  • Evaluate and configure estimate workflows based on:
  • Insurance and payer plans
  • Benefit information
  • Provider and specialty
  • Location
  • Service/procedure
  • Charge amounts
  • Patient responsibility
  • Deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance
  • Contractual reimbursement considerations
  • Support the development and maintenance of estimate-related Epic PB rules and configuration.
  • Review existing workflows and recommend improvements to increase the accuracy and consistency of patient estimates.
  • Coordinate with related Epic applications and revenue cycle teams where dependencies exist.
  • Perform unit, integrated, and regression testing of patient estimate functionality.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios representing multiple specialties, payers, services, and patient financial circumstances.
  • Validate estimate results against expected reimbursement and patient-responsibility calculations.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies and determine root causes within Epic configuration and related workflows.
  • Document configuration decisions, workflows, testing results, and outstanding issues.
  • Support user acceptance testing and resolution of identified defects.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure the final solution meets operational and patient-facing requirements.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to the client's internal Epic team.
  • Support go-live readiness and post-build validation as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Sitting, talking, hearing and near vision are required over 90% of the time. Feeling is required over 90% of the time and reaching is required about 50% of the time. The ability to travel to field sites may be required up to 15% of the time.

WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Over 90% of the time is spent indoors, with protection from weather conditions. Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable is present in only unusual situations.

PAY RANGE

Pay range for this position is $85-90/hr

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Current Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) certification required.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and supporting Epic PB.
  • Strong understanding of professional billing and ambulatory revenue cycle workflows.
  • Experience with Epic patient estimates and related financial workflows strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-specialty physician or medical group environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated Epic build, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization experience.
  • Ability to independently analyze existing configuration and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Strong understanding of payer, reimbursement, and patient-responsibility concepts.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into Epic configuration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Ability to quickly become productive in an existing Epic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Claims certification.
  • Experience with Epic Resolute PB patient estimates and estimate-related workflows.
  • Experience with Epic Charge Router, Cadence, Prelude, and/or other upstream revenue cycle applications.
  • Experience with payer contract/reimbursement configuration.
  • Experience supporting large ambulatory or multi-specialty physician organizations.
  • Experience with Epic upgrades, implementations, optimization, or remediation projects.
  • Previous consulting experience in Epic Revenue Cycle.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal consultant is a hands-on Epic PB professional who can quickly step into an existing environment and deliver results with limited ramp-up time. This individual should be comfortable working directly with revenue cycle leadership and operational stakeholders while independently managing Epic build, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Experience specifically with patient estimates in a multi-specialty ambulatory environment will be highly valued.

Engagement Requirements

  • Full-time commitment for the duration of the engagement.
  • Expected engagement duration: 2–4 months.
  • Immediate availability strongly preferred.
  • Texas-based candidates preferred; remote/onsite expectations to be confirmed based on client requirements.
  • Current Epic PB certification required.
