The Opportunity

This position works out of our Pleasanton, CA location in the Heart Failure division. In Abbott's Heart Failure (HF) business, we're developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

The Senior Manager, Human Resources serves as a strategic HR Business Partner to Heart Failure Division leadership, driving talent, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and culture initiatives that enable business performance and growth. This role partners closely with leaders to build organizational capability, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and ensure the division attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

What You'll Work On

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute people strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Lead talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, organizational effectiveness, and change management.

  • Drive workforce planning and organizational design efforts to support current and future business needs.

  • Leverage people analytics and business insights to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable solutions.

  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver talent acquisition, total rewards, learning, and development programs.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field.

  • 7+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience supporting senior leaders.

  • Proven ability to influence business decisions, lead organizational change, and drive talent strategies.

  • Strong business acumen, leadership coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
