Job description

Job Summary:
Diamondback Energy is a company focused on the oil and gas industry, and they are seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to support spatial data needs within their IT department. The role involves designing data queries, automating workflows, and collaborating with various teams to integrate GIS data.
Responsibilities:
• Design and process queries to extract, manipulate and analyze data
• Assist with special projects involving thematic map creation, data conversion and/or quality control
• Design and implement automated ETL using FME, Python (ArcPy), SQL and Snowflake to automate workflow processes
• Integrate geospatial and operational data across multiple areas
• Manage content stored in ArcSDE geodatabases and SQL server
• Program web-based applications within ArcGIS Enterprise such as dashboards, Experience Builder
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate GIS data with other systems (e.g. FME, ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder)
• Assist with training junior GIS staff and end-users on GIS tools and best practices
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in GIS or related field
• At least seven (7) years of FME work experience in Oil and Gas
• At least seven (7) years of GIS work experience using ArcGIS and related tools and extensions including ArcGIS Pro
• At least six (6) years of experience in Oil and Gas
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree in GIS or related field
• Experience with Surface Infrastructure, features, and attributes
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and Esri-related mobile applications
• Programming and scripting skills
• Advance understanding of key concepts FME and scripts for workflow processes
• Proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven track record of being able to solve problems and think creatively
• Ability to suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
