Will provide support and oversight of large, multi‑national projects and is responsible for directing large national or global projects, a program of projects, and/or complex projects in terms of customer deliverables while providing functional leadership to Project Managers (PMs). Works effectively across multiple divisions to direct the delivery of projects/programs within cost, time, and quality requirements. Provides direct supervision, support, training, and mentoring to Project Managers. May have immediate supervision of employees, prepares and may conduct performance appraisals and salary reviews, and applies company policies. Works with leadership in all functional areas on the continuous development and improvement of business processes to support cross‑functional teams and to ensure that work is uniform, complete, and managed appropriately. Serves as a liaison with Business Development and Bids/Contracts for client presentations and proposal development. Assists in resource utilization, policy development, and implementation of goals.

• Lead core project team and facilitate their ability to lead the extended and complete project team
• Lead cross‑unit coordination both internally and externally, including subcontractors
• Define and manage project resource needs and establish contingency plans for key resources
• Ensure successful design, implementation, tracking, and revision of project plans for assigned projects
• Promote effective teamwork among project team members
• Resolve conflicts as needed
• Ensure appropriate communication on project‑related matters with PM Management
• Meet financial performance targets for the assigned clinical projects
• Ensure project deliverables are met according to both Worldwide Clinical Trials and client expectations
• Initiate improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of the work performed on assigned projects
• May be the key client contact for assigned projects and clients
• Establish excellent working relationships with client project teams and vendors to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence
• Ensure that all staff allocated to assigned projects adhere to professional standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established for clinical research
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

• University/college degree (life science preferred) or certification in a related allied health profession from an appropriately accredited institution (e.g., nursing certification, medical technology, or laboratory technology), or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Minimum of eight (8) years of clinical pharmaceutical industry experience, including demonstrated skills and competency in clinical project management tasks
• In lieu of the above requirements, candidates with more than five (5) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting and six (6) years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical industry or Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry will be considered
• A demonstrated track record of success in clinical development and in leading and developing professional staff in a project‑led environment
• Proven experience developing and managing the budgets and resources of a segment of the business
• Experience using project management software
• Experience in conducting global clinical trials
• Available for domestic and international travel, including overnight stays
• Valid passport
• Ability to drive and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Fluent in the local office language and in English, both written and verbal
• Broad knowledge of the drug development process and client needs

Promotion to the next level is not automatic based on years of experience. Personnel are evaluated on proven competency, level of responsibility, and ability to work independently.

At Worldwide Clinical Trials, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace by providing transparent compensation. The salary range for this position is annually (For hourly paid positions, the stated salary range reflects hourly rates): United States of America - $128,500.00 - $254,500.00 The salary range provided is intended to give candidates an understanding of potential earnings. Compensation will fall within the provided range, and it not a guarantee of exact salary. The final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, performance, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, we offer a competitive benefits package depending on location. We ensure pay equity and transparency and comply with all applicable labor laws. Salary information will be discussed during the interview process, and we encourage candidates to inquire about compensation at any stage.
