About the Opportunity:
The Senior Manager, Project Management Office leads the centralized project management function to ensure disciplined, timely delivery of the organization's highest-priority technology projects and strategic initiatives. This role provides strategic oversight of the PMO and the CTO's Top initiatives, establishing and enhancing scalable methodologies, governance structures, and executive dashboards that clearly link engineering and IT performance to business outcomes.
Partnering closely with cross-functional leadership, the Senior Manager, PMO translates business objectives into executable project portfolios, optimizes resources and budgets, and delivers concise, data-driven insights for executive and board-level stakeholders, while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development within project teams.
What You'll Do:
1. Provide leadership and oversight for the Project Management Office and assigned strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the CTO's priorities
2. Develop, implement, and continually refine scalable project management methodologies, standards, and processes across engineering and IT
3. Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, including project management tools, reporting systems, and risk and issue management processes
4. Run the operating rhythm for Top initiatives, including initiative updates, risk reviews, dependency management, and timely escalation to the CTO with clear options and recommendations
5. Own the planning, tracking, and reporting for the CTO's Top initiatives, including running weekly reviews and delivering concise monthly update presentations
6. Define, maintain, and continuously improve the CTO dashboard that ties engineering and IT metrics to business outcomes, and distill insights for executive and board-level presentations
7. Serve as an expert in software engineering tooling used to govern the SDLC, including evaluating and configuring tools for team use and deriving meaningful delivery and quality metrics
8. Partner with department leaders to define, prioritize, and execute projects and strategic initiatives, translating business objectives into actionable and sequenced project plans
9. Develop and manage project and program budgets, including forecasting, expense tracking, variance analysis, and reporting to senior leadership
10. Monitor project and portfolio performance, proactively identify and manage risks and dependencies, and ensure cost-effective allocation and optimization of project resources
11. Provide oversight, coaching, and guidance to project managers and project teams to ensure adherence to quality, process, and governance guidelines, while supporting strong team dynamics and cross-departmental communication
12. Support organizational needs by performing additional duties as assigned and participating in on-site, off-site, and industry events or meetings as required, including occasional travel
What You'll Need:
1. Degree in business administration, Computer Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, preferably with an advanced degree or additional relevant certifications
2. Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, preferably with PMP or comparable project/program management certification
3. Extensive project management experience in professional services and/or technical project delivery, preferably within a SaaS organization serving EMS, Public Safety, or Healthcare sectors
4. Demonstrated strategic leadership experience, including ownership of project or program budgets, coaching and developing teams, and managing performance
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and present effectively to diverse executive and non-technical audiences
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and prioritization
7. Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet critical deadlines within budget constraints
8. Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions and outcomes that align project and portfolio initiatives with broader business goals
9. Proven ability to identify, design, and implement frameworks and process improvements that enhance execution efficiency and accelerate organizational results
10. Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency with MS Office Suite, CRM platforms (such as Salesforce), project management tools (such as Monday.com), and other relevant enterprise technologies
11. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies, preferably with experience partnering closely with engineering teams
12. Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information, coupled with a strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and enthusiasm for learning
13. Ability to work in a hybrid in-office environment and travel as required, up to approximately 25%

Position Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this full-time role is $115,000-160,000 USD + bonus + benefits + perks + community gains. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
