Job Summary:
Rigbot is a company focused on innovating the trucking and logistics industry by addressing chronic driver shortages and improving efficiency. The Senior Full Stack Developer will co-develop a full-featured product using cutting-edge technologies, mentor junior developers, and ensure high-quality code through rigorous testing and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Understand customer requirements and translate to application features
โ€ข Collaborate with the team to set specifications for new features
โ€ข Design prototypes according to specifications
โ€ข Write high quality code and meet deadlines
โ€ข Perform unit and integration testing before launch
โ€ข Conduct functional and non-functional testing
โ€ข Troubleshoot and debug applications
โ€ข Evaluate existing code to refactor, update and add new features
โ€ข Develop technical documents and handbooks
โ€ข Mentor and coach junior developers
โ€ข Utilize Jira to track, monitor and communicate development/bug fix progress
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Candidate should be fairly fluent in the Linux environment
โ€ข Javascript: We use Typescript, the next generation transpiler for Javascript and Node.J
โ€ข SWeb framework: We use Koa2. The next generation Express framework Knowledge of Koa or Express is a must
โ€ข ORM: Bookshelf or Sequelize experience needed
โ€ข Strong back-end experience with writing custom SQL queries for postgresql with PostGIS
โ€ข RESTful Services
โ€ข Front-end experience with React & SASS, MobX or Redux
โ€ข AWS deployment experience
โ€ข DevOps/System Architecture experience
โ€ข Git for version control
Preferred:
โ€ข TDD or BDD with Jasmine or equivalent
โ€ข Experience with AWS offerings including Kinesis, IOT
โ€ข Mobile Development experience using React Native
